Interdisciplinary NETWORK
The aim of this work package is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
We will coordinate and stimulate the exchange of the basic knowledge among the members of the microbiome research community of any discipline involved. This will be facilitated by internships for scientific staff at a different faculty and by holding interdisciplinary seminars and courses covering biological, technical and behavioral aspects of the microbiome science for the diverse community of the researchers involved in this RPA.
The PhD students
The PhD students working on a specific part within this RPA will have an opportunity to broaden their research scope by participating in the research steps that are beyond the expertise of their direct supervisors, but are a part of this RPA.
The overall goal of this WP is:
to prepare next-generation microbiome science researchers with a broad interdisciplinary expertise in the field, leading to an optimal use of the resources, synergy in efforts and enhanced quality of their research output.
The PI’s of this work package are Prof.Dr. Egija Zaura (ACTA) and Dr. Christian Broër (FMG-UvA), Assistant Prof. Gerlieke-Veltkamp (FMG-UvA)
