During our next Microbiome Friday seminar at IAS we had a special first. We had our first guest lecturer Sebastian Schmidt visiting us from EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany. He shared his research entitled “Microbes on the move: Microbial Transmission within and between People” in an interesting presentation. Afterwards our RPA community shared their questions and input, which Sebastian was happy to answer and elaborate on.
Besides our guest presentation our colleague from UvA PhD-candidate and peer within the RPA community, Nienke Koopman, presented her research entitled “A multi-omics approach to identify molecular pathways associated with remission in pediatric Crohn’s disease”. Nienke was also happy to answer the questions from the group afterwards.
We ended the afternoon with some drinks, before starting the weekend.
