- 15:05 – 15:35: A talk by David Barnett, PhD
- David is a bioinformatician and researcher at the Department of Medical Microbiology, Infectious Disease and Infection Prevention at Maastricht University Medical Center+. He developed the R package microViz during his PhD at the Maastricht Centre for System Biology. He will give a talk about microViz and some of his work on gastrointestinal symptoms in infants and their links to biopsychosocial factors.
- 15:35 – 16: 05: A talk by Martha Endika, PhD
- Martha is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Preventive Dentistry at ACTA. She obtained her PhD in Microbiology from Wageningen University, focusing her research on the role of non-digestible oligosaccharides on the antibiotic resilience of infant gut microbiota. She will give a talk about her work on evaluating the use of NDCs towards mitigating the effects of antibiotics on microbiota in an in vitro colon model (TIM-2) of the weaning infant.
